A Community's Answer.

In 2011, the Harrisonville Public School District identified the need in our community for a food security program during the months of summer, when government assistance meals weren't available, our backpack program was on hiatus during the school break and our food bank was heavily depleted.

Formed in 2011, Just4Me is Harrisonville’s, local food assistance program designed to help in-need children in our community maintain a healthy diet during the months of summer.

Complimenting the School Foundation’s Food 4 Thought program, Just4Me is a separate entity that helps fill the gap in assistance during the months of summer. Many don’t realize that it is in these months, during summer break, when the need for food assistance is at its highest, yet assistance is at its lowest. Even with assistance of EBT cards (food stamps), many of our local families continue to struggle to make ends meet especially with school out of session and free and reduced lunches unavailable. Just4Me is proud to have been able to help these families bridge this gap of need and assistance, providing daily meals (7 days a week), for the entirety of summer break, for every child served on the program.

Working alongside the HPSF & Harrisonville Bright Futures, Just4Me is a stand-alone, volunteer operated, non-for-profit program that relies on your support to assist the children of our community.
